Squad Trip to Alton Towers (Top, TE, TJ)

A coach has been provisionally booked for swimmers  within the above squads who wish to travel to Alton Towers on the morning of Saturday 23rd August. The bus pick up times are: -

    Barrhead Pool         4.30am

    Johnstone Pool       4.45am

With the bus returning around 11-11.30pm that night.

All swimmers who wish to take part should contact Karen Sweeney on either

01505 502351 or 01294 272824 (Work).

The cost of £35 requires to be paid as soon as possible, with cheques made payable to Karen Sweeney.

Spree Books to go on Sale

As part of the annual fundraising activities, Squad secretaries will shortly be distributing Spree Books to each swimmer. Please contact the club office if you find that you need additional books.

Time Trials - 15th June

Ren96 Management Committee would like to thank the following people for making the Time Trials on 15th June 2008 a success and allowing those swimmers who took part, from the 1s, 2s and 3s the opportunity to gain 50m & 100m Fly, 100 I/M and 200 I/M times.

David Morgan - Top Squad

David was awarded overall S2 Sports Champion at Bellahouston Academy Sports Day and will receive a presentation at Prize Giving.
His athletics results were

100m - 2nd

200m - 1st

400m - 1st

He also did well in the Long Jump and Shot
Putt. Apparently the Athletics Coach has his eye on him!!
He has also been nominated by Glasgow School of Sport for Outstanding Achievement this year for his swimming.

REN 96 Swimmers represent Scotland

We recently had four swimmers representing Scotland at two international meets this summer.

Lightwater Valley Trip 11th May 2008

A big thank you to Karen Sweeney, Social Convenor REN96 Swim Team for all her efforts and hard work in organising a successful away day to Lightwater Valley Theme Park in Yorkshire on Sunday 11th May. The feedback from the Coaches, Chaperones and indeed the Swimmers who participated in this outing was that everyone enjoyed the day, the weather was great and they had good fun. Well done Karen and thanks from everyone at REN96.

New Fee Levels 2008

The fees have now been revised and will increase to their new level from 1st February 2008. Please ensure that where you have an existing Standing Order that this is cancelled at the time that you instruct the Standing Order for the revised sum.
